Find out how these clear, removable aligners can shift teeth to get a straighter and more appealing smile.

Many adults will agree that while they do want a straighter smile they don’t want to have to wear metal braces for up to a year or more in invisalignorder to get a more perfect smile. Fortunately, our Virginia Beach, VA dentist, Dr. Jason Campbell, offers a great way for late teens and adults to finally correct issues such as crooked teeth or gaps between teeth with a nearly invisible alternative.

Invisalign involves a series of customized aligners that are all specially designed to shift your teeth into the desired position. Now you have a nearly invisible, comfortable, convenient and even removable alternative to braces. What could be better than that?

When you come into our office for a consultation, we will examine your smile and talk to you about your goals. After all, our Virginia Beach general dentists want to make sure that you’ll be able to achieve your goals through the Invisalign system. If you are a good candidate we will take impressions of your teeth and use them to create a set of aligners that will apply a safe but effective amount of force to slowly bring crooked or misaligned teeth into a more optimal position.

Once we map out your Invisalign treatment plan we will send these results to a special lab, which will start creating your clear aligners. These aligners are made from a flexible plastic and may look similar to whitening trays, but they certainly do more than meets the eye.

Once your aligners are made you will come back into our office to put on your first set. We will check to make sure everything fits and feels comfortable with the first set of aligners. Each aligner will be rather snug. It is this snugness that helps to apply the proper pressure needed to move teeth. Of course, this is certainly much more pleasant than irritating metal wires and brackets over your teeth.

Plus, these aligners are completely removable. That’s right! While you will want to wear your aligners for about 22 hours out of the day, you can certainly take them off before you eat, drink, brush or floss. Just make sure you clean them and then pop them right back in. What a simple and easy way to get a straighter smile without braces taking over your life.

If you want to find out if you are an ideal candidate for Invisalign then it’s time to call Seaside Dentistry in Virginia Beach, VA to schedule your consultation.
