Once we map out your Invisalign treatment plan we will send these results to a special lab, which will start creating your clear aligners. These aligners are made from a flexible plastic and may look similar to whitening trays, but they certainly do more than meets the eye.
Once your aligners are made you will come back into our office to put on your first set. We will check to make sure everything fits and feels comfortable with the first set of aligners. Each aligner will be rather snug. It is this snugness that helps to apply the proper pressure needed to move teeth. Of course, this is certainly much more pleasant than irritating metal wires and brackets over your teeth.
Plus, these aligners are completely removable. That’s right! While you will want to wear your aligners for about 22 hours out of the day, you can certainly take them off before you eat, drink, brush or floss.
